About two and a half hours from me. I keep meaning to get down there. Think I'll give it a shot this spring when it warms up some more.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
Sounds like a fun day!
Thanks,

I never get tired of looking at these display aircraft. Every so often I run by the old Olathe Naval Air Station site to look at their displays. One of them is a two seater A7.

Saturday I went to a meeting of the Hickory NC Modelers, they hold it in a fantastic Hobby Town,it's pretty much like a mom and pop shop with a lots of supplies and kits.It was really good to sit around and chat with fellow modelers and show off some builds for a couple of hours.
Afterwards I had to stop at the museum,it's in a small airport, they have quite a few pieces, but they're beat up,but they are veteran aircraft.Inside they have quite a few models on display along with some memorabila. There's no admission, just by voluntary donation,so stop in for an hour or so if your in the area.
