This is another scratch built bulk rail car for my Lionel O scale rail layout.

I copied the picture from my computer for the design of this U.P. model. As in the proceeding tanker car, all the same techniques were used to constuct this model. The roof grating and ladders can from my wife's plastic canvas backing . During early fall months, Union Pacific bulk carriers are a common sight here in Idaho, as they transport grain to market, Idaho being a major wheat and barley growing state. The Union Pacific rail company is the only rail transporter in this state.

This is a picture of my scratch built Union Pacific petroleum distallate tanker car for my Lionel O scale train layout. The tanker was made from a paper towel tube found at th end of a paper towel roll. The tanker image was copied from a picture I locate on my computer. The lettering came from Stick Potamus dry transfer letter card. Painting was from vinyl paints, while the U.P. logo was a cut out from a picture. The wheel truck were purchased from E-bay.

Installed the hand rails and calling it done Fun and inexpensive project that results In a unique piece of rolling stock for my I gauge train table.Well worthwhile...

Platform built ,painted and Installed..

Made the ladders out of sprue and aluminum tubing..

Initial track testing went well..
