Hey, anybody out there happen to know what parameter airspeed was indicated in; KPH or M/S?

"Why do I do this? Because the money's good, the scenery changes and they let me use explosives, okay?"

I Googled "japanese zero-sen airspeed indicator" and noticed it pegs out at 400, so that would be mph, as kph would be too slow.  Or maybe I'm not reading it right.  The numbers look like they are x10, thus 38 is 380 mph.

I had read somewhere that the Zero's ailerons would become increasingly heavy at speeds above 300 mph, to the point where the pilot would have difficulty moving the stick.

Got the answer from our local aircraft collection operators .  .  .    It 'km/h'.

Accordingly, from them, the A6m was recorded as 530km/h.

Thanks to all who played "Can you answer the silly question of the day"

Yes, as it is said, "There are very few personal problems that can't be solved with a suitable application of high explosive."

Part of Navy diving is salvage demolitions .  .  .  one of the funner parts!

The quote below is from the movie "Armageddon"
