Calling All Former Navy Personnel - help with Navy abbreviations

With the ll being the number eleven, it makes sense to me, and I put in 20 years.

The USN's 11th Amphibious Force supported the D-Day landings, so that would seem to make sense.

So i need a little help in deciphering an abbreviation.  Im trying to piece together my dad's service days from WWII.  While he was in Europe he was ordered detached and to "proceed to a port in which ComLanCrabllthPhib may be and upon your arrival report to ComLanCrabllthPhib for duty."

Its the " ComLanCrabllthPhib " i need help with.

Com = Commander

LanCrab = Landing Craft & Bases

llth = 

Phib = Amphibious 

 

I was thinking ll is for LL.  But in looking at it again now, maybe " ll " 11th ???

Betcha the LAN is Atlantic not Landing

  Eaglecashs link gives LANCRAB as landing craft and bases. Atlantic would ATLANT.

Thanks all. I think Greg hit the nail on the head. I was originally thinking, as mentioned, ll ( the 1's and the l's look identical in these old orders). But I believe it does have to be 11th amphibious.

He was in Northern Europe 21144 then detached  N Europe and ordered to report to the above which he did in Feb.  Next was Appledore ( USNAATB ).  Then end of may USN Adv Amphibious Base. Etc, etc.
