Hi!
I know we have all( Those who share homes with them)Noticed the Cat in our life or multiples have an insane amount of curiosity and yes, mischief when it comes to models, All those interesting little bits and a totally comfortable box to lie in!
Have you ever looked into a Cat's eyes(When they kept staring) and wondered whay goes on behind those fascinating Optical Orbs? I have and the idea still escapes me,"What could they be thinking?"
I don't believe Domestic Cats rely just on instinct. They are too in tune with our Vibes and Moods than we realize. Think of it for a moment, this also applies to a lot of Dogs as well. Look at these attributes of the Cat and tell me if I am wrong. Claws,Yes they will knowingly hold on without harm if you let them. Plus it is a good defense mechanism.
Second in the regard of safety, even at nineteen Sam's teeth were as sharp and dangerous as when she was in her prime( Of course she got good Dental care.)Many pets of both species have health issues stemming from bad teeth(So Do We). YET when they were applied to me after kittenhood they never penetrated my skin, but just held on gently for a moment.
They are soft. Cats of all breeds, even those poor things without hair are soft! Moreso than a Teddy bear or other stuffed animal. Limber? let me tell you. When vet day cam, Sam could get so soft and pliable I couldn't get her in the carrier, She just oozed out of my hands like a Ferret( Another Pet I have shared life with.) And yet would sit in it after we got home and get defensive if I tried to remove her from said carrier. Now, the computing and t.v. switchery they practice is beyond thinking. How is it she seemed to know which button took us to "Animal Planet"?
Lastly as Psychologists and Psyciatrists they are without peer. They stand or sit and listen( Sometimes) and we could pour our heart out about anything and they wouldn't be judgemental.(Probably just get up ,Tail Straight, butt pointed at us and walk away) "Session is over, Bye", But we invariably felt better after the Talk.I never had a lap Cat so I couldn't say about them. But from those who do have them they can be quite a challenge .
Sam loved to play even hard when she got older, but if a part went flying, I would look in vain, only to be approached by a rub, a meow, and a paw pointing to the part she found and brought to my feet. I wonder, if they could test them ,what a Cat's I.Q. Would be? Off the Charts or Dumb as Nails? I guess we'll never know. Shoot, Just accept their love such as it is and be glad you have someone Non-Judgemental to talk to!
