Water, Who knew?
Posted by Tanker-Builder on Friday, March 17, 2023 5:39 PM

 Hey Folks,

Went for an Ambulance ride again. Same crew(Comment=We gotta stop meeting like this Mr G!). It seems that there something to that eight glasses of water a day!  NO, Coffee or Tea doesn't count. Why? I dunno! Turns out a lot of problems for elder modelers  can be triggered by Lack of a Fluid commonly known as Plain cold or tepid Water.

Yeah! Doctor said Beer doesn't count either, Darn It! So after suffering from severe dehydration I am good to go with a new appreciation for that necessary clear liquid. Here in New Braunfels it's not too bad but some locales are rough. It's drinkable but so treated it leaves an aftertaste! But with a Brita or some kind of fixed water reatment hardware you can get that great refreshing Common fluid with No taste at all. Water, The gift of life!

Glad you're on the upswing, TB!

I started upping my hydration decades ago when a bunch of friends and acquaintances had mucho-painful kidney stones. My own doc said the #1 best way to avoid that grief was to keep the system flushing regularly...and it seems to have worked! Big Smile

Skål!

Coffee and Tea have caffeine, which is a diuretic... in other words, it makes you void the liquid intake that one has just consumed. Same with alcoholic beverages... It takes the fun out of life.... everything in moderation old boy. Wink

Drink water... several quarts per day... check the color of what's coming out to gauge your proper hydration.

Do that to keep the borrowed kidney working 100%. People in the Village ask why they always see me walking around with a 1/2 gallon water cooler all the time. I plan on keeping this donated kidney in good shape. Try it, you're kidneys will thank you for it.

Stay Safe.
