Not exactly sure where I got this from, but found a Yuutoobs video of WWII-era instructions on field-assembly of a P-47.  I didn't know they did this then, but it sounds like a possibly good idea:

The video is not that good a quality, but shows the process well enough.  Ship in a bottle?  No, plane in a couple of crates!!  Big Smile

 

This was a practical approach to quickly deploy aircraft to different locations where traditional manufacturing facilities might not be available.

 That seems to be interesting. I didn't watch the whole thing becasuse the Speaker was putting me asleep. This happened too many times at school, learning how to fix broken ships!
