Research.

I discovered something.

Well, I actually knew it, but My son took it to heart during a conversation. Iwas telling him about the odd construction steps for a model I was working on. The Model? Hasegawa's "3rd Corps Soya Antarctic research vessel!" It seems the vessel in Questions has an interesting past.

I looked at the info he sent and I found more. She (The SOYA ) has an interesting history and that, makes the completion of this kit a must. The kit even included the P.E. and-Two white metal Dogs and a Figurine that you assemble. It seems that's a salute to the only surviving dogs when some had to be left behind on a cruise.

So, here I am late in life, researching the models I build!  I never really did much of that up until now, unless it was some Motoryacht or something like that. Some fascinating histories out there! Do your research!

I research every kit whilst building, especially racing and rally cars, interiors, decalling. It makes all the difference to me.
