Working on some Photo Studio changes
Posted by rossjr on Saturday, November 22, 2008 3:45 PM

So I thought I'd run some tests in my new photo set up....  Lots to play around with but here is where I came from...

And what I am working towards...

Just to give you some ideas of before and after, here is before...

And a couple of after shoots....

I need to iron the color backgrounds to get rid of the creases, that is a given.  BTW the difference between the final two shots are: 1) is with AUTO setting and 2) used the cameras Macro setting.  Other wise they are both all the same positions lighting, etc...

Comments???

I'm no photo-bug, but just my personal preferences would have me keeping the light blue background.  The dark blue won't contrast enough for darker models, I'd think....

Looks ok, but my critque would be that you could use more DOF.  looking at the exif data, you need a lot more light to achieve that however.

Thanks for the comments, the light tent comes with 4 different color panels, Black, Blue, Red & White, but I do want to try and find a light blue background....

I did some more playing, like putting the background fabric in the washer then dryer to get rid of the creases.  It made a huge difference....

The first two were taken before I figured out how to get a solid floor to the tent the the second two are with the tent.
