Looking for photo-etch info...
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 2:25 PM
Hi all,
Im now at a point in this hobby that my wife will pretty much toss me out if I buy anymore kits (I have 30+ stashed around the house), so I have to find new things to spend my money on Tongue [:P].
Anyway, I have alot of nice armor and aircraft kits and I have been getting interested in looking into photo-etched stuff to help me make better kits, but I have NO knowledge of this. I was wondering if anyone knows of any good links I could look at learn more and what are the best companies to buy from? I mostly model WW2 armor (1/35) and WW2 aircraft (1/48).
Thanks to any help you all can offer in advance. Now its time to start digging out the FSM back issues and see what I can findSmile [:)]
Thanks again
Kullgan

Try Mike Ashey's book on Armor modelling from Kalmbach as well as Waldron and Gold Medal Models and Verlinden and Eduard. They have good products and good directions on how to install them.

Good luck

For armour kits, two of the more prolific PE companies are Eduard and Aber. These are usually available from a variety of on-line shops so if you search the net you should be able to come up with one close to your location.
Happy Modelling and God Bless Robert
