Similar to Michaels but a much better selection of models (at least here). These are the MI stores, don't know if any are near Flint.

We don't have a Hobby Lobby up here in Flint, MI. Is it like Michaels? All kinds of crafts, from picture frames to needlepoint, etc. We have one of those up here. All they carry is R/M & AMT/Ertl. Boring.

Good Morning. After reading the comments this A.M. , there has been no mention that you can go to the Hobby Lobby site and request that you be notified of their weekly 50 percent off cupon offered on the internet. These are issued every Sunday and are valid for the following week. Just thought this info would be helpful in case you were not aware. Now this is cupon clipping at its best!

Thats true Woody, last sale I hit most of what I bought came right out of the delivery crates, think I even got better deals cause they had not been priced yet and the guy just came up with prices. Maybe thats how I got a $55 kit for $17 before the 50% off. I think though ourlocal one is always restocking cause everytime I go in there are boxes stacked 6 ft high right in front of the armor and I can't get to it.

Their selection is pretty good. I would like to pass on a tip that was relayed to me. When you go to their 1/2 off sale, go on Saturday afternoon. At my Hobby Lobby they restock their kits on Saturday giving you an awesome selection, even better than before the sale started! Wink [;)]

The one that is in this area has a pretty good selection, and not bad prices either. I often hit the Hobby Lobby after I leave my small hobby shop and I usually buy something at both.

The local Hobby Lobby where I live is great! One full aisle w/ 8-foot shelves, cars and armor on one side, ships and AC on the other. They have AMT, R/M, Testors, Tamiya, Academy, Lindberg - all the major mfgs. and about once a month they do a 30% off sale. The craft section has lots of little fiddly bits for detailing too. Be sure to check the clearance section - the local always has discounted kits.

Dana, I know the one that I frequent has a pretty good selection. They carry alot of Tamiya stuff in armor, ac , auto and motorcycles. They also have pretty nice prices on alot of it to. For em they have the best selection within 20 miles of the stuff I like. Stop by and try it out and you can't beat the 50 % off coupons they have occasionally on kits.

Hobby Lobby?

Guys, I don't have one of these in my area but I travel frequently to an area that does. I will be traveling there this weekend. In all this time, I never even considered Hobby Lobby as a good place to buy models and supplies, but I'm hearing otherwise. Do they have a good selection of models? And is it more than just Revell and Testors?
Thanks.
