I think there was one of these at my local hobby shop, but I also believe it was priced at a collector's price (i.e. very expensive).

Hi,

They were called "BATTLEGROUND SERIES" by Entex.1/72 Scale.

they had preformed bases that fit together to form a much bigger scene.Had about 5 differant kits, numbered #1-5.Had Tigers, panthers,88's etc...

I sold a bunch of them to a guy in NJ a couple of months ago on Evil Bay.

You might try checking there,as I do not think they are around by any manufacturer.I thinkthey were put out in the 1970's or early 80's.

Hope this helps.

I do remember those sets. I think they were put out by Fujimi, Aoshima, or one of the other Japanese kit makers that did 1/72 or 1/76 stuff. It was defnitely not by Tamiya or Hasegawa.

So here's the story, i'm looking for a set of 6 dioramas (from the early 1980's), that formed to be one big diorama that i remember from my childhood (i bought two of the sets).

Each diorama contained one or two tanks (german)  and assorted infantry (also german) and when you put all six pieces together they formed a scene of a german tank convoy (of two or three tanks) a motorcycle with a sidecar, a staffcar, a watchtower and a flak 88 (as far as i remember) Anyone know if it's still sold anywhere, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
