I my case, if I may explain. I just get it from the stands. They usually have a few copies of a certain issues at a time and due to demand (and no exact schedule of when the mags come in) I often miss it. However, I can find them a month or two later in the bookstores selling them at discounted rates.

But I don't complain. I need the discount. LOL.

Yup got mine the 1st day of the month.[:0]I just have one question though. Why do they mail the mags without the plastic cover? It's almost winter time & things could really get soggy this days. Last month I also got my copy without the plastic.

I never had a problem with FSM's CRS. I had one missing issue when I called they without question sent me a new one and last year when I forgot to renew my subscription I called and they started it up and sent me the one I missed, no problem.
Trevor Where am I going and why am I in this handbasket?

Chris

I would rate their CSR outstanding. I have dealt with them several times and have nothing but good words for the way I was treated. They have always been very pleasant and helpful. It could be you just got some one who had to sleep in the couch that night.

I have the name written down somewhere....I'll have to find it again. Ive heard some good stories about CSR's there as well Eric so anyone working for the company who may read this....Im sure not all of your CSR's are bad but I have gotten this bad apple twice! When I asked about a replacement issue for the one that got disintegrated....I got a lot of stammering....was finally told it would be sent....I NEVER GOT IT!...I'll just get mine elsewhere...As far as the time and delivery issues I dont get it...as I subscribe to Scale Auto as well....always seem to get those on time....anywho enough about this....
Just because I have had a bad experience doesnt mean everyone else has or will....Eric Im glad to hear you had a great experience maybe you could email me the name of the CSR you talked to last and I will ask soley for him/her for future dealings with the company! LOL

Wow Chris, that suprises me to hear that! I've dealt with Kalmbach on 4 or 5 occasions between address changes, had 1 issue neve show, 1 issue torn up,etc. I never had anything but the BEST customer service out of the people I talked to. Immediate offers to send out a new issue for the missing and torn up one (and that's the post office's fault you know). Nothing but nice on the other issues. When they had those micro brushes on the newstand issues I called to ask about how that worked, why subscribers didn't get them. They explained (as was posted here also) and offered to send me a pack out in the mail. I didn't ask them to either. One suggestion, did you get the name of the representatives you talked to? It could just be one or 2 people not being helpful, and the rest are trying. Try to include names if you write the company and it'll get fixed. If you do a general bashing it won't help much. I think overall they have good service, but there's always a bad apple around somewhere.

LOL Ed...I was a lil bent out of shape....not really over the delivery time(though it sucks!) but about the way I was treated when I called Kalmbach. From what I hear Im not the only one whos had issues with bad CSR's from there either....Im in the process of writing a few letters to various people with the Company....I just hope they dont have lil fish in the big pond-itis and toss my letter without paying it much attention. Someone needs to bring the problems to thier attention and if people already have then great I'll just be another one to jump on the Im not happy wagon! LOL

Have yet to get mine....I never get mine on time and when I do get it...it generally looks like its been put through the ringer! Had a very disatisfying experience with a Klambake customer service person last month...I cancelled my subscription today and asked for a refund of the remaining amount!
No excuses for******poor customer service and late...torn up issues. I posted a thread about this over at scalehobby....wasnt going to post anything here because I believed it to be in bad taste to bash a magazine on thier own site...but Im not bitting my tongue. I'll either buy the issues I want at BAM or the LHS or not buy them at all....

HEY,
I just got my January issue, and i just wanted to here any questions or comments on it. I particularly liked the idea of having a two issue article on selecting your fist airbrush. It will help with the airbrushing beginners(like myself) in choosing a good airbrush.
