micro machines as scale models ?
Posted by Anonymous on Tuesday, December 2, 2003 11:43 PM
i jus finished stripping, filling painting my micro machines F-104 starfighter.
the original hunk of plastic was in approx 1/144 scale, but the general outline seems good. i have yet to paint it, but with the more scale panel lines, and the retracted landing gear, i think it will be a swell thing to put next to my monogram 1/72 starfighter.
has anyone else done similar things ? im rather impressed by the level of accuracy presented in micro machines and i am thinking of doing this again.
the funniest thing is that the micro machines C130 is the same wingspan as the F-104. =D

I've considered improving some of the Star Wars Action Fleet ships but my kids aren't finished playing with them yet!
