Having trouble getting on Meteor Productions website
Posted by Wirraway on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 6:03 AM

Every time I try www.meteorprod.com  The page tells me FORBIDDEN- you do not have access to the page from this server.

I was trying to score some cutting edge B52 decals but its not happening until I can get on !

Meteor Productions went out of business last year.   Their closure was quite rapid and is reported to be due to legal issues surrounding a divorce.   Their products are currently available only through some resellers who purchased last minute stock at their closure sale.  Check eBay

I still find a lot of thier stock at vendors tables with the prices being very close to the original Meteor website price.

Given the delivery time that Meteor always had to my door, going to the next contest to find a part or item is about the same as shipping used to be.

I just found this out too recently as I checked on an item that was on both on ebay and Canada's Flight Decs...

I bought on ebay: Cutting Edge ModelWorks Decal 72-206 EA-6B Prowlers Pt 2,VAQ-132 (21June~19Dec 2000,CVN-73,'GW' cruise) which featured 500/AA 'CAG' "Grinch",red/gray/black"Scorpions" tail art/VAQ-141 only JFK(29 April~28 Oct 1997) cruise CVW-8 'AJ' with nose HARMs art.

I already have an AeroMaster sheet of VAQ-132 with all-black Scorpions tail on CVN-65 on 28June~20Dec,1996 cruise.

Flight Decs,I found out after the purchase.., had a lower price...,but NOT a lot of former Cutting Edge Decals on thier site!!

This is an old thread, but in case anyone is interested, Dave Klaus, who ran Meteor Productions, is back with an online site: fineartofdecals.com.  Prices have escalated significantly from the old Meteor days for the PYN-up decals (I'm seeing prices 50% higher for some of the sets I bought from them before they closed), but the quality of the work was always extremely high so it might be worth it to you.
