Help! Yes this should probably go else where...but....

Im putting it here for more views...

PLEASE HELP!

I did something really stupid(Ok no comments needed!Clown [:o)])...
4 Yrs ago I was working on a 1/72 AC and used Ambroid Liquid Mask...now I cant seem to remove the stuff! Ive got some of it off....but still have a lot left on there. I really would like to paint this...this weekend and get it knocked out. The mask is water based.....until it dries and after 4 yrs its now like a coat of armor! LOL

Any Suggestions?
Ok heres some things I have thought of and wondered but before I try it I wanted to get some feedback....
1) Putting the whole plane in a tub of Chameleon Stripper....which will more than likely remove the mask, paint, glue(I used Proweld and CA).....

I dont mind repainting and assembling everything again....but would rather not. So any suggestions?

You might try making a chisel out of clear sprue and scrapeing the dried mask off.
I'd run a sharp #11 blade around the frame edges first, though.

Four years ago!!! lol Laugh [(-D] Ive left that stough on for a long time , but not that long. Ive had trouble removing that stough just after a month though. I just used a dull toothpick to scrape it off.

Have you tried a bit of Acetone? maybe a nailpolish remover? it might help cut through it, or at least soften it up in layers. Good luck.

Do you have any paint stripper that you can just paint onto the areas you want to clean. Check that it is plastic friendly.

I may get so drunk, I have to crawl home. But dammit, I'll crawl like a Marine.

Hey Chris if it was me I think I'd try a soak in hot water. Not to hot, maybe the mask will soften enough to scrap off with a round toothpick carved to a chisel point.

Swanny if you read this will you please tell me if Chameleon will remove CA and Proweld? Thats what Ive used for glue on this....
