scales question
Posted by Anonymous on Thursday, December 11, 2003 1:06 PM
Howdy all,
I am attempting to build some terrain and scenery for 25mm and 28mm scale wargames, and I was wanting to make/use some accurate and detaild models as well. Does anyone know what modelling scale (i.e. 1/48 or 1/35 etc.) 25mm or 28mm come out to? I'd really like to purchase some good armor models to use, or scratch build, but that can be difficult without knowing what 25mm equals. Is it 25mm= 6'?
Any help would be appreciated.

1/72 scale is 25mm, 1/48 would be about 38mm, 1/32 scale is 54mm

Looks like I resurrected an old thread, the magic of the search function...

I can accept that 25mm = 1/72 scale, etc.

But what does 25mm actually mean?  That an average person would be 25mm tall in this scale?

Of course, it pays to keep in mind that most wargame miniatures in the 25mm - 28mm range are nowhere near anatomically correct and as such, building to exact scale might not always work out.
