Greetings wise one's.....well i did it, after some advise from hawkeye and others i have produced a "proof of concept" item based on my odd idea. I selected the Hasegawa 1/48 F-104c....and cut it in half, mounted the end product on a painted board and put in a frame.......some fellow builders are no longer talking to me....but hey......its what i wanted. This wont work with a lot of things, but it (the procedure) may lend itself well to ships, cars and motorcycles.....and aircraft with a "short wing" profile.
I have had a request from a friend to do it again using a Italeri 1/72 EF-111 ......he has already given me the the kit and frame
I would like to share what i did with you all....so, next question.....how do i put the pics on here?.....if i can manage that...please remember that this was just an experiment.....as you will see the , the painting is awfull....the workmanship is rough. I mentioned to Hawkeye that posting pics here is like bringing a paint by numbers to Leonardo....but if you want to see it....
Thanks again to all of you who provided advice....and thanks for a great site....cheers
