Hope all of you have a great weekend and enjoy this special day set aside for Fathers as a dad or by remembering yours.

I caught this image a while back of a father and son enjoying a beautiful day together.

Visit my blog for a special Father's Day notice.

Same to you Gerald.

Unfortunately I have to work 7am-3pm and then have to be at another site at Midnight for a graveyard shift. That's 10 straight days of work. Disapprove [V]

Ahh but remember your employer and the tax man like that you work so hard.  LOL  Our days, nights and evenings blend together rather often being self employed. Some days one wishes that there was a clock to punch, less hours and more money.

I actually have it off this year for a change! I have already told the family that all I want is a peaceful day. I have all I could want or need.

A happy Fathers Day to all the other dads here!

Appreciate all the kind thoughts to all us Dads and Granddads and I send them right back to you all. The kids and grandkids were here today for dinner to start off the weekend by going to the first night of the Chester County Hot Air Balloon Festival. We will all be going back tomorrow for the second day from 3:00 to 9:00PM (if the weather holds out). They have tethered rides for $15.00 and LONG rides for $265.00. Sunday, each of the grandkids has a little league game. Sssooo, looks like I have a very full weekend with them. Hope you all have weekends as rewarding.

Back at ya Hawkeye, and everyone else. Today we have the 5 year old grandson here for a sleepover. He's already about wore Pop and Oma out but we're enjoying every minute of it. Tomorrow when his Dad (my son) comes by to pick him up we'll hang out for a while. Really looking forward to it.

Someone sounds a little bitter. Confused [%-)]

Nope not bitter in the least. I have three kids and two grand kids but we only do a couple of Holidays. I never understood why you have to have a certain day to be with family or friends. You really notice it when serving in the Military because of all the ones you miss due to deployments or being out in the field. If everyone wants to have a "special day" to be different so be it. I just think its not a big deal. Thanks

My family's pretty tight... I spent so many years in the Army, missin' holidays, birthdays, graduations, all that stuff, that we all get together every time we can.. Now, both my kids're in the Army and the shoe's on the other foot, lol...  But EVERYONE will be home by Labor Day... There begins the First Annual Von Hammer Commando HOO-AHH Rompin', Stompin', Barn Dance, BBQ, & Brain-fry!
