Don's Hobbies (Formely Venture Hobbies) of Wheeling, IL

I just received this forwarded message from our IPMS Chapter contact. I personally know the original senders and everyone in the chain, so this should be legit:

I met the new owner of Venture/Don's Hobbies yesterday.  He's the son of a financier who is a radio control model builder and a long time customer of the shop.  The son, who is experienced in business, will run/manage the shop. Don Phillips will be around for a few months to get him up to speed.
Don told me yesterday (Sunday) that the deal is compete except for a few signatures.  The new owner is anxious to rebuild the customer base that Don had in years past. The new owner and Don would like to attend the next McKinstry meeting on September 18.

Wonderful news! An LHS that didn't go under!
