Here it is. My wife got this email from a friend of hers - thought I'd pass it along. It includes the original message.
Hi folks!!! I got this e-mail the other day. It looks like it comes from E-Bay, but it doesn't!!! It is someone trying to steal my identity and or get my credit card information. When I went to forward it, there was nothing there. No words or anything. Also, when I copied the information from the e-mail, there is hidden junk at the bottom. It does not show up until you highlight.
If you ever get ANYTHING like this, DELETE IT!!!! E-Bay will NOT ask for this information!! EVER!!!! Also, I haven't done anything on E-Bay to make them need to bill my card to get paid. E-Bay will NOT do this type of thing. BE CAREFUL, as there are some real SCUMBAGS out there!!! In e-mails I got from the real E-Bay, they have told me that the LINK looks like it goes to e-bay, but when you click on it, it goes a different route and directly to these Scourges of Society. So if you use e-bay to buy or sell, please be careful of what you respond to. I have gotten about three of these type letters before this one, asking for information. They all look pretty legitimate, but they are NOT!!!! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!!
