Gip,

Likely your IT guy has certain "job time waster" websites blocked, like MyFacebook and Photoshack and such. I'm lucky because I AM the IT guy at my job! Wink [;)]

Photobucket is my choice, but currently I'm a bit PO'd at them. I've had my free account suspended due to "inactivity". Which means I neglected to log onto their site for a 90 day period. I'm am currently negotiating with their tech people to reconnect me to the real world.

Normally I would post the link to my tutorial on Photobucket, but until the links are reconnected, there is no point. Since the tech team appears to be working 24/7 I hope to have the issue resolved shortly. When I do I will provide the link. IF I can figure out how to post pics, you'll find it a snap!

Organization is a good idea, as is renaming the pics in a consistant manner. This requires a bit of forethought, and is well worth the time to plan ahead. Phil is (as usual) correct that renaming or moving them after posting will break the link.

So long folks!

Hi Gip,

You can arrange them any way you wish. My preference is to organise them into folders.

You can rename the pics or move them between folders, but you will have to alter any links to those pics to reflect the change.

Wow.  Thanks for the heads-up.  I looked at several posts regarding a couple different sites, and there are more than a few that have had some difficulties with Photobucket.  Interestingly enough, my computer at work won't show Photobucket pics.  Are the problems "real", or are there user issues at work here?

If I've told you once, I've told you 20 million times to quit exaggerating!  Big Smile [:D]

Thanks to everyone for all the help and advice.  I feel kind of foolish posting this here after looking at the community assistance forum...

Photobucket is easy to both upload and link and provides a ton of free space.

Remember, if the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy.

I've FINALLY started work on a couple kits and would like to post a few pics as things progress.

What photo service do you use for uploading your pics for posting here (Photbucket, Flickr, etc.)?  And why (ease of use, free, etc.)?

Any advice on uploading, managing, posting pics, etc. would be appreciated.  I'm currently using Picasa, and Nikon NX for processing my pics at home.

Thanks!
