I found a local plastic dealer (when I was using clear plastic as a display base). They also produce different thickness of plastic and will cut them to your requirements. On one such ocassion, I ask them to show me how they glued the box together. I now buy the plastic cut to size and build it myself. It cost a lot less if you do it yourself. Check your yellow pages for plastic, etc., and pay them a visit. The thinner the plastic, the cheaper it is. Wink [;)]

Search for Acrylic Display Cases

Does anyone have a source for quality acrylic display cases? I had one in Largo, Fl - Specialty Display Cases - but evidently he has gone out of business as I am unable to contact him. What I am looking for are 1/8" thick clear acrylic covers, like a lid, to fit over my models, which are set up on a diorama base. Presently I need one 21" x 21" x 10" for a 1/72nd Hasegawa Leopold railway gun I am doing up in a diorama. I have searched the web and come up with a couple, JMK Displays for one, and gotten a quote for the Leopold. If anyone has any experience with the aforementioned outfit, or anyone else, as to quality I would appreciate the input. Also, if anyone knows what happened to Specialty Display Cases of Largo, FL I'd be interested in recontacting him. He made a high quality product and I bought a number of cases from him.
Thanks in advance.
