christmas goodies
Posted by gregers on Thursday, December 25, 2003 11:40 AM
Ok so christmas is nearly over, thousands of turkeys have met their fateTongue [:P] what ever you got as far as modeling goes is great but what about the other goodies? theres the plastic coated wire tiewraps that are good for holding fuselages together, all that clear plastic and vac formed sheet from the toy boxes, the left over sticky tape and blutack, styrofoam blocks for dioramas. now over to you guys, what other stuff do you folks scavenge for use in the model room? . Well I got the best gift of all! I got an odd shaped package this morning bright and early....Un-wrapped it and theres a box with a piece of paper on top, with some tissue paper underneath.....What was it you ask? Results of Dianes Pregnancy test she had done on Wednesday....and a bib LOL. To be honest I had no clue, and she kept it pretty well hidden from me, she's not terribly far along I think she said 6 weeks....but for someone who wants kids(ME)and was told my chances were slim to none.....that is the best gift I could have recieved and an answer to prayer!

Scored some other loot.....right now it couldnt even compare though

What a fantastic present.. Congrats Chris and Diane...

As to answering Greg's post... Those metal tins chocolate and bath stuff sometimes come in... Handy for keeping small parts and projects 'together' or in the case of the big Quality Street tin, a whole model out of the dust...

Congrats Chris. How early are you going to teach him to fish? I'm assuming that he'll just pick modeling up pretty early on his own.

Well that depends really. I got a rod put in my hands when I was 3, didnt actually fish alot until I was 6 and have been fishing since then. So I would say somewhere between 3-6.
