Ordering from overseas
Posted by Khalee2 on Monday, December 21, 2009 3:49 PM

What is the good bad side of ordering from overseas. I have never done so I'm just wanting some peoples opinion on it. Im mainly looking at white ensign models and their brand of paint.

Or is there a supplier for their paint here in America?.

If I got to order from overseas to get the colours I want I will I guess, as the nearest hobby store from me is 2nhalf hours away

I assume your in the US (good case for filling in some details on your profile). If you are and your ordering from the UK, be aware that our prices are higher than what you will be used to. If that is their own brand, i doubt you will get it over there. My advice would be to see if anyone in the states sells somthing similar before ordering from over here.

I can usually get stuff from the US, including postage, cheaper than it would cost me over here, so be warned.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

I've ordered from WEM a couple of times and had no problems. Sometimes it seems that ordering abroad is easier than ordering in the States. A couple of years ago I ordered from Tasca (China) a couple of weeks before Christmas. I received it in four days and that was with regular shipping.

I did a quick Google search for WEM paints but didn't find a US supplier, but I could swear I've seen them offered at some shop here. Maybe dig a little deeper than I did?
