Andrew,

There are no directly comparable products available in Australia. There are several similar products which are widely available, but these contain cleaning agents.

  • Pledge (Johnson)  "One Go" - is a brownish liquid, unlike the "genuine" item which is crystal clear. I've tried this one for canopy dipping and it works fine for that purpose, but less so for clear coating.
  • Pascoe's "Long Life" - A milky liquid which also has cleaning properties and is (I believe) ammonia based and is decidedly unfriendly to (Tamiya) acrylics.

I just use plain old Tamiya X-22 Clear gloss.

If you have a friend in New Zealand, I believe "Klear" is available over there.
