I wasn't sure where to post this so the editors change it if they want to. This is the 75th anniversary of the old workhorse the C-47/DC-3. The EAA and the Warbirds of America are planning to host what is being called "The Last Time" at the annual AirVenture show in Oshkosh from July 26 to August 1. Organizers expect more than 25 of the airplanes to be there. One scheduled event will be a formation fly over. Plans for other events are still in the works according to the Warbirds newsletter I received, I hate to give away my age but my first flight in a commercial airliner was in a C-47. And yes I have flown in a Trimotor Ford. It was a news media event
