Hello Gentlemen and Ladies, if present:
I've been following along with your posts and I'm very impressed with the level of detail, to say the least. However, I believe that you can do a YB-40 conversion using a B-17G kit and basiclly just stagger the windows! Oh, there's more to it than that, but has anyone considered doing a TB-40 instead? This way, you don't have to fill the cheek windows in the nose and detail everything else to your hearts' content. I believe that there is a picture in Detail N' Scale Part#3 More B-17 Derivatives. Also, perhaps part#1, they show pictures of the Allison-engined B-17 as well. As regards anyone for a truly painful experience, you could even attempt the B-17 engine test-bed. As always, I would point out that I am no professional, but have a rabid interest in the hobby and B-17s in general.
