Glad to hear you enjoyed the issue.

Also, make sure you check out the article online about the HH-65 Dolphin from the issue. It's free!

the more articles I read about Naval subjects, the more I get interested in them...

A 1/700 kit might be a great critter to keep hanging around the bench while I'm working on a different kit, y'know?

When you get into that "builder's block" area, pull out the ship...Yes

I am going to build the old Revell 1:481 scale USS Helena Heavy Cruiser as the USS St. Paul that my wife's dad was on for a birthday present for him. He was on that ship during the Korean War and I thought I would build it for him. It's inexpensive as well since it is an old tooling kit but that's great for me as those ship kits get far more expensive than aircraft.

I just received my Feb 2010 issue of Fine Scale Modeler and I say well done to the staff at FSM as it is a good issue I think. Interesting and informative articles on using weathering powders, a very nice Showcase article on a beautiful Russian missile destroyer, Detailing Hasegawa's Wild Weasel Phantom and more.

All in all I think this was a very good issue.
