Monorevegawagram. Maybe we can just call it "the corporation". I hope the new site is more useful than the old...

I heard Dragon was dropping Hasagawa because they didn't agree with their latest marketing strategy:

No new kits and flood the market with re-releases with added parts and options and even bigger prices.

*******

It's all about classic cars now!

Why can't I find the "Any" key on my keyboard?

That issue will work itself out in the long run.  Hasegawa makes good kits IMO but they getting way to pricey.  Maybe it will be a wake up call for them.

" Monorevegawagram "

before the first morning cup of coffee?

.....or after three bottles of Manny's liberated Russian vodka?

If anyone tried to lay a finger on Manny's liberated vodka, they'd be looking at the business end of his Panzerfaust before the seal was broken.

Manny is very possessive about that stuff.

It's the only thing that keeps him from freezing during the Russian winters.........

Thaaaaat's why he looks so good in his avatar picture - he's been preserved with liberated Russian vodka. The down side is that he's flammable now.

(Wait, haven't seen him in a while. He's up there circling, waiting to pounce on us again isn't he? Check your 6...)

Manny's strictly a ground pounder.

Perhaps well pickled, but a ground pounder.

True, but he was talking artillery with a 14-mile range in another thread - I'm afraid we still need to look up.

Well, since no one else asked the questions:

How does this change effect price and distribution?

Better?

Worse?

I can't see any real chance at a significant price change. The costs are the same, the retail prices set by the mfr and the cost to ship are constant.

My best guess is we'll start to see Hasegawa repopping more of Revell/Monogram's kits as part of this partnership. I think Hasegawa is in a better financial position and motivated to run kit production than Hobbico is, otherwise they would have released many of the kits consumers have been asking for and are fetch ridiculously high prices on the various auction sites. Look what DC-3/C-47 were going for before they finally rereleased them.

For Hobbico, the addition of Hasegawa to their catalog is a plus. More retailers will want to sign up to purchase direct from them. Let's just hope they can handle it effectively and efficiently.

Hey orvallin,

ahhhh Manny - to know him is to love him! If you haven't encountered him yet I'm surprised! He somehow manages to make an appearance in darn near every thread going, sometimes somebody else mentions him. That little eschange was actually some fallout from another thread that was going on at the same time, kinda got mixed in with this one fully expecting him to notice. He sort of reminds me of the old hecklers up in the balcony on The Muppet Show - except he's wearing jackboots & officer's dress uniform. Great guy to converse with!

I actually enjoy Manny's off the wall quips.

I know HE knows a lot about the Frontsoldaten and is, therefore, able to get away with portraying  his "shtick" as "Living History".  Cool
