New TV item of interest

Looks like someone noticed modelers using Future, and jacked up the price as a specialty item. If you look closely, you'll notice that only the sanding dust is removed, we never see scratches, or their removal. If I had an old pair of glasses, I'd try the trick with Future. Betcha it would work !

I think I'll try this. My glasses are all scratched up, and I have Future available to use.

I saw the same commercial last night. I mentioned that sounded like future and had to explan to a friend the other use than floors for it.

I'll bet they looked at you like you had lost your marbles, eh?

Not really, they are amazed at all the stuff that can be done with models. All they have ever done is right out of the box with tube glue and maybe a little paint, once they started seeing mine I get question after question about how to do this and that.

I saw that commercial. For $15.00 per little bottle I think I'll stick with Future for now.

I tried just exactly that last week on a cheap pair of reading glasses with full strength Future and a Q-Tip. Didn't work. Just left a big smear of Future on the lense.
I still think that's what it is, though probably in a diltued form. However........Watch closely at the Mom "de-scratching" the little girl's glasses. When she does the final sweep over the lense and holds them up, I swear I can see some smearing (just the way mine looked).

I think I'll just keep my nice Serengeti's in their nice little clamshell case. And stick with a good cleaning cloth for when I do wear them.

Try dipping the lenses or brushing it on with a wide soft brush instead of a qtip. Since the worst part is already done, and you can clean it off with Windex if it goes totally awry, it's worth a shot. I'd be interested to see how it comes out after dipping a lense. Makes me want to get a cheap pair of glasses just to see.
