Indeed,

Post a picture of the situation as only someone who just build the kit and had similar problems will be of any help. 'Dry fit twice, glue once' Sometimes the kits instructions are not helpful, try putting the suspension away for a day while working on another area. Sometimes a fresh outlook helps a lot!Idea

I am starting to building a Sherman tank with HVSS suspension. (Dragon 6354)

Is a trick to the  assembly of HVSS suspension of this kit,, the spring part (MB 2) for the road wheel for the smaller cups part ( q 15) always show when I assemble, or spring open when I try to connect the other half of the road. Also do you glue part (q4) to part (q 1 with q 13 and q14).Sad
