Hobbico and Hasegawa?
Posted by BruceM on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 9:03 PM

I thought Hobbico was mostly a R/C house and retailer.Matter of fact tonight I took a look and didn't see any plastic models at all.Is there different websites for different sections of Hobbico?

From what I have heard, Hasegawa will be Hobbicos entrance into the business as an importer of plastic models and they will be distributed by Great Planes Model Distributors. If you look up HasegawaUsa.com, it directs you to Hobbicos web site, but as of yet, I don't find any mention of Hasegawa on that site.

The website for Great Planes (gpmd.com) briefly mentions Hasegawa in their manufacturers directory, but not much else. Everything is still fairly new and no doubt details are still being worked out.

Why can't I find the "Any" key on my keyboard?

I'm just getting back into the hobby, but from what i've read Hasegawa kits are usually pretty good. I just hope they cover a little more unusual subjects.

Hobbico has handled Revell (USA) kits since 2007. They have established a website for Hasegawa at www.hasegawausa.com. All that's there now is an announcement for the F-22 Raptor.

Well, whatever happens, I just hope to to see some better pricing. They have been a favorite of mine and lately that has been one of the reasons I haven't bought much lately. That and the fact that I have so many kits now, I'll need to live to be 157 to complete them all!
