This has been the worse modeling weekend for me since I have started. I've been trying to step up production on a Tamiya NSX, and Tamiya Mercedes CLK GTR for the April Tamiya/Con. It all started yesterday when I went to paint the Mercedes body with white primer, since it is cast in silver. The primer kept drying and sticking very badly to everything. My airbrush just kept clogging up, no matter how much I thinned it. After I gave up on the white primer an hour later(throwing it away for good), I was able to get gray primer to work ok after an hour of cleaning. But it kept getting clogged, so I decided to soak the parts overnight. I have an Aztek airbrush with a plastic body. It was double action, but somehow after the soak it became a single action. The trigger is shot, and it's a molded body, so I can't get it apart to fix it.....there went my starter airbrush, time to get that Omni 5000!!! Oh, and did I mention that while all of this was going on I was soaking some chromed parts in nail polish remover........a little too late, I found the perfectly round rims, were now the shape of eggs
.....and I happened to paint the NSX body the wrong color.....
Hopefully I can get the new NSX kit, and Airbrush by this Fri!!! Always look forward to the future!!! Thanks for letting me vent!
