Modeling warm and fuzzys?
Posted by hkshooter on Saturday, September 11, 2010 5:20 PM

It's that time of year again. Summer is saying it's goodbyes. My tail end is recovering from many miles on the motorcycle. The air is cooling. And that warm feeling I get when I think of spending long hours at the bench working on plastic and paint  is returning.
I admire you folks who are year around modelers and I really wish I was. I can see I miss out on some very cool stuff, awesome group builds, friends. But when the weather changes the road calls and the desire to spend that time inside goes away.
Does anyone else have this or am I the weird guy?

Ditto....when the weather is nice I have that calling to the great outdoors.  Once the kids head off to school the calling of the hobby begins!!!

Heh. You're obviously not living in central Texas. Here SUMMER is the time everyone huddles indoors, only to emerge once the oven turns off around, well, now.

I definitely know the feeling, but I only model at night, after the kids are asleep and the wife's in bed reading, so it's not like I have to make a choice between modeling or X, unless X is movies, video games, or sleep.

On the Bench: 1/32 Trumpeter P-47 | 1/32 Hasegawa Bf 109G | 1/144 Eduard MiG-21MF x2

On Deck:  1/350 HMS Dreadnought
