Best Huey in 1/48?
Posted by El Taino on Thursday, September 16, 2010 4:02 PM

Guys, I've come again for your help. I want to put together a 1/48 Huey Gunship. I've got Revell's kit at Michaels but the darn thing is plagued with flash. I can work with mods and adjustments, but flash and in this quantity is something I wasn't cut for. It just delays so much the project. So rotor heads, what's my next option in 1/48th.

For a short cabin Huey in 1/48, only the older and less accurate Fujimi kit that has been reboxed by Testors. For long cabin Hueys in 1/48 Italeri makes a UH-D/H and a UH-1N.

Nuthin' wrong with Revell's (ex-Monogram) Charlie model Huey Hog.  It'll build into either the Hog gunship or a Slick nicely... Needs some weight under the floor panel to sit on the skids though...
