The joys of a defected Dragon kit
Posted by BTH on Saturday, October 30, 2010 8:49 PM

So I bought Dragon's Tiger I Mid Production w/ Zimmerit, which I've heard is a fine kit. When I took the parts out of the box to inspect them, I noticed that a kit with a defect. Apparently for this one they utterly forgot to include the top portion of the Tiger, and instead gave me duplicate sprues. And I've had no luck trying to get in touch with Dragon Models USA, which seems to solely cater to dealers and hobby shops.

What can I about this? I hate to think I spent $17 for a box of a few spare parts. And this is definitely the first time I've had this experience with a Dragon kit.

I don't think so, as I bought it online. It was brand-new and still in the wrap, though, so I don't think it was tampered with.

If you have no joy with the seller, try the Dragon Care page to lodge an enquiry.

Just be prepared for a wait once you begin the process with them. Dragoncare does not exactly move in a rapid manner. I hope they handle your issue more quckly than they did mine. Good luck!
