Since everyone else is doing it, who am I not to bow to peer pressure
Well these are the kits I completed this year, in reverse order
Last kit completed.
AFV Clubs 1/48 Early Tiger
While not a fully complete build, it did what I wanted after rescuing it from near certain death. My main desire for this build was to do free hand camo and pin washes, both I think came out fine for first attempts. The model itself really only needed a flat coat and powder weathering for completeness but since I donated it back to my 8 y/o I didnt think it was worth while on something that was going to be slowly dissasembled anyway.
Shown here just before completion but adding tracks
Dragon's 1/200 B-52
Completed for the weekend madness GB, a kit from the 1980's and really showing it. Dragon have done much better since.
Hasegawa Fw-190 Eggplane
Completed for the Weekend madness GB, including adding extra cockpit detailing from a 1/48 tamiya Bf109e with some scratched extra's
Tamiya 1/48 Panther Late G, my fave build of the year
Tamiya 1/48 Bf109e
Complete except for some final weather before being "shot down" and crash landing by my 3 y/o
Hobby Boss 1/72 Royal Navy Lynx
Trumpeter 1/144 F-86 Sabre
Heller 1/144 French E-2C Hawkeye
Tamiya 1/48 A6M2-N Rufe
Had alot of fun weathering this build
Trumpeter 1/35 ASLAV-25
Second fave build of the year, first experience with more than a couple of pieces of PE
Airfix 1/76 Tiger
What can I say? fun little diorama all on a CD
Airfix 1/600(?) Bismark
Built in a little over 48 hours as last second request buy my wife for her fathers Birthday
Last but far from least
Trumpeter 1/32 Swordfish
Having it sit next to my computer for the last few months I've been thinking about adding a gloss coat and the doing some weathering. As the urge builds no doubt I will sometime this year...
Thats it, all completed builds for 2010, going back over them I didnt realize I had done that many, some I know I could of done better with more self control but some were just for the joy (the A6M2-N Rufe comes here) but over all its been a big enjoyable learning curve
