Tamiya's Cromwell. I just pre-shaded it last night and will lay down the base coat tonight. I hope to be totally done by the weekend, but the figure might slow me down. I have not painted a figure in a while.

I have a WIP post in the armor, but have updated it in a while.

It will be a 1/32 scratch aircraft I started two years ago (yes, two years).....though I still need to put in another 30 man hours or so to get it finished up. So I guess it won't be until 2012 when it's finished.Wink

Wingnut Wings 1/32 Pfalz D.IIIa that I received during the holidays. Been at it on and off for only a week, so there's still a long way to go.

Assuming the individual track links don't piss me off, too badly, it'll be a 1/35 Dragon ZSU-23-4 Shilka.

Does it have to be a model of a known type?? If not ,I have completed six SPS 40 RADARS in 1/96 scale and four SPS 49 units in the same scale. Oh you mean a regular model? I have a AIRFIX vVOSPER patrol boat at about 45% done . does that count?  tankerbuilder

Hi guys!

Not sure if this'll count since I started it in early December.  I did finish it on January 2nd through.  It was my 7 year old daughter's 1/35 scale Stegosaurus.  She loves dinosaurs!

If it counts then I'll post pictures of it.  She picked out all the colors.  We went to HobbyTown, we stood in front of the paint rack and I said "Have at it!"  So she picked them out and then told me how she'd like the patterns.  She even used the airbrush for the very first time when she painted the big bony plates which go along its back.

Just this past Saturday we started in on her Chasmosaurus by Tamiya.

Tamiya makes 1/35 dinos?

This just screams "diorama". Stegosaurus versus Tiger I. Fight!

I havne't finished a model this year, and i won't till May/June at least. But i did finish a Diorama for a model i built early last year.

I did manage to finish a couple of kits in the last few days of 2010.

Well, right now I'm still working on the AFV Club Stryker MGS; but when I get that finished my first one of the new year is going to be the Tamiya Ki-84 "Frank".  Gonna start off the new year with something different!

Oh heck yeah!  And some amazing ones, too!  Their newer molds are everything you'd expect from the typical Tamiya quality.  We're talking good stuff.  Last year my daughter and I built Tamiya's 1/35 scale Brachiosaurus and it's every bit as huge as you'd think it would be.  LOL!  It even came with a small baby Brachiosaurus as well as a diorama base complete with an Archaeopteryx (sp??).

The Stegosaurus is on older mold and it's quite possible it's not an original Tamiya mold.  That's just a guess on my part because, to me, it kind of looks like Lindberg quality.  It still went together nicely but the skin detail between the Stegosaurus vs the detail and quality of fit on their Chasmosaurus is like comparing night and day.  The Stego's skin folds and facial detail seems a bit on the heavy handed side.  The same aspects on the Chasmosaurus are so refined, delicate, more realistic (to my eyes) and more musem-quality-like.

Take a break from the ordinary and build a dino kit!  It's like trying a food for the very first time that you're not sure you'll like.  You take your first bite and find that you've been missing out on something wonderful all these years.  LOL!

I've got a Hawk 1/48 Gee Bee R-1 going over in the Air Racer Round 2 GB, about 20% done. The expectation is that it'll be done long before the Sept. deadline......

about 90% done with a 1/48 b-25. I need to put about 5 more parts on, paint it, and add decals.

Well, its a toss up between a Trumpeter Type 89 122mm MRL, a Hobby Craft rebox Trumpeter Chinese Jeep-thing, and a Zvezda GAZ-MM.  I don't know which one will make it through the paint process first (probably the jeep thing since it really only needs to be yellow).  A final competitor might be DML's MAZ543 TEL/Scud, but that one is gonna take a long time.
