Who makes Swedish tanks?

Hi, this might be a bit obscure, but does anyone know if there is any company that makes Swedish AFV's?

I desperately want to "pull a Manny" and say "Sweden"! Big Smile

I know Trumpeter makes an S-Tank, I'm really not all that familiar with Swedish gear though.

I was going to say - Volvo -, but doesn't Sweden now buy from other countries, such as Germany's Leopards? There may be some detail changes, but not much and of course markings.

Cool new avatar Vance! You Canadian eh.

I believe Sweden gave up developing MBT's (Main Battle Tanks) due to cost ect. if I recall correctly they purchase Leopard II's from Germany like the rest of European NATO members.

Idea Yes its the Leopard II as I remember the documentary 'Top 10 Tanks' & the Leopard II segment is filmed in Sweden being drove hard by new recruits.

Source out the decals and your in business as many manufactures make that tank.

Hmm The segment was in winter and if memory serves the Leopards sported some cool looking winter whitewash.

thanks for all the answers, by the way i meant kits, not actual tanks. I know trumpeter made the S-Tank, but does any company make WWII era Swedish kits?

Google is your friend:

Looks like most of the armor the Swedes used was either sourced elsewhere (Renault, from France) or developed by someone else: Stridsvagn m/37 (Czech).

Interesting stuff....
