There must be some way of merging this thread into "the real 229 thread"!

So...if the Germans were able to introduce the Horton 229 into squadron service, would that make the basic fighter unit a HoHo ?

Manstein's revenge

Does that mean you would cut off your HO to spite your NO?

humm.. another thought.. since we can see no markings on the Wing.. maybe.. just maybe,, since this is a Captain America film.. that that wing might not be a HO... but maybe a NO ?!!

it might be a Northrup flying wing !! Indifferent

Manny's agents have failed to infiltrate the Northrup Industries !! Whistling

so there maybe no Ho's.. and only NO's..!!

LMAO.......HO-NO !

Manstein's revenge

It couldn't have been Vance's HO---his is still in the concept stage...

I resemble that remark....
(Actually, the Ho is in initial mock-up stage, but stalled while I try to finish up on the P38 project. finishing up the engines is next.)

And what's this "Super Bowl" think y'all keep talking about? Is that the football game that was broadcast in between coverage of the "Best commercials on earth" contest on Sunday night???

 hkshooter:

I caught the rather odd looking 229 in the SB ad and I swear this thread had something to do with it.

I noticed the HO exhausts don't line up with the engine intakes.  The only explanation for this is shielded ducting of the hot gasses to keep those WWII American AIM 9L's from getting a good heat lock.

Oh good grief...now I am going to have to confirm my geek status. (My wife already thinks I am the poster child for geeks)

I am excited about seeing the Capt America movie. I picked up on the hints that it was coming in the Iron Man movies. Also Picked up on Tony Stark in the Hulk.

For a WW2 period piece, they certainly have some unusual weapon systems...

Oh, and the Cap movie is going to be at least half a period piece, if not more, if going to be set in WWII

I am looking forward to the Captain America movie. He was always one of my favorites. I have made a number of models of him and have some Hallmark ornaments for my Super Heroes Christmas tree. Yes I do put that tree along with my NASCAR and red, white and blue trees up for Christmas.

Ah for those that didnt know about the movies.

The hulk and Ironman both referenced these, Iron man even having Cap's shield in his lab that you see for a brief moment.  At the end of both movies there is a bit of a teaser for an Avenger's project.  Thor and Cap are the last two (I believe) needed for the film, which will be an Avengers movie with, cap ironman, thor, and hulk as the avengers I believe,  There also have been rumors that ant man is going to get a movie as well before the avengers movie

Stop it! You're making me feel all tingly!

Didn't catch the Horten. I was too surprised at the thought of a Captain A movie. And Thor too. They were two of my favorites as a kid.
