I was pleasantly surprised to see members of this forum in there...awesome work. I liked the many different shows that were incorporated into the magazine. My favorite item in the Showcase Gallery was the 120mm BAR gunner. The AMPS 2003 show must have been something. I was especially pleased to see a good friend of mine...Brian Alfano, in this section. His Sherman diorama on pg. 24, was dedicated to his grandfather . He and I worked together a few years back; now he heads up the exhibit displays in the Science Museum of Richmond, VA.
But back to the magazine... the article on the Remagen Bridge Diorama is an amazing scene to behold. It was also nice to see models of contest winners from other countries...the 28th MMSiChicago and NoreastCon 2003 sections have eyepopping work as well. Anyways I should cut this short . Chris, hopefully yours will be there soon.... Approve [^]

Regards, Dan

I get mine through the LHS, so it's usually a week after everyone else.

Well I no longer have my subscription.....

I did check out the magazine at Books A Million....to be honest I read the whole dang thing in about an hr's time while the wife was looking at Baby/Mother books.....

While the issue was good Most of the stuff just didnt really "help" me if that makes sense so I decided to save the $4/5 and not pick it up

Yeah, I know what your saying about the help part Chris. Still, I like to check out the techniques modelers use and enjoy some great builds also. I also like to read about new product information.

I've been patiently waiting, waiting, waiting for the Feb issue. Today FSM arrived but its the March issue!! Its not even the end of January and the March issue is out, are the guys at FSM ahead of their time or what!! Perhaps February is coming surface mail, the Hornet article is the one I'm after.

*sigh* Only one pic of a sci-fi kit, that I could see. And I think this guy just bought it off of ebay and submitted it! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2200358308&category=155

Didn't pick this issue up either. Sorry guys.

And before you flame me for FSM not having enough material sent in, I read the guidelines, and FSM DOES NOT accept unsolicited submissions. How are we supposed to get anything in?

Here's a case in point: http://www.starshipmodeler.net/cgi-bin/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=13692
