I've gotten some great deals on eBay.  Here's some of the best ones.

Forbidden Planet C57D Cruiser.  $25 and free shipping.  Then I found another one about two weeks later which had some work done badly on it but it was only a few parts and easily repaired.  That one was $10 and $6 to ship.  These kits normally got for well over $100 now, not including the usual shipping rate of about $20.

Monogram B58 Hustler in 1/48 scale, $19.95 and free shipping.  A Month later I got another one also sealed in original plastic for $21.95 and free shipping.  Now I can keep one in the stash and build the other.

2 Monogram B29 Superfortress kits in 1/48 for $17 and $22 respectively about two months apart, both free shipping.

Now here's the creme de la crem of deals.  The Monogram 1/72 B-36 Peacemaker for $12, still sealed, and only $7 to ship.  I caught that one as a BIN (Buy It Now) about 2 minutes after it was listed.  I hit that buy it now button faster than Bill Clinton can catch an intern...  It pays to do a search for newly listed items as well as ending soonest...

For all the grumping about ebay, you can occasionally find a great deal like that once in a while.  The last one I had like that was a two-kit lot of Viper and Raider from Battlestar Galactica with just a couple of parts pre-assembled.  I figured the kits could work as spares for some alternate paint scheme project or crash scene diorama or parts for a kitbash, depending on what the photos didn't show.  When the kits arrived I found bonuses that weren't mentioned in the auction: the resin launch-rail display stand that usually costs more than I paid for the set.

Another was a set of FineMolds Star Wars kits that included a couple listed as started.  My bid was about $10 less than the regular price of the unopened Jango Fett Slave I, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that whoever started the X-Wing and TIE in the set had only cut some parts of the TIE from the sprue and done a great job cementing the half-dozen X-Wing parts they'd started to where I'd have no cleanup to worry about.

I've gotten to the point that if there's something there that I can't find for less elsewhere, I'll just bid my real max bid and let it go, even when I find a lower-than-usual price.  No sense getting into a bidding war in the closing minutes if it's something that'll likely come up again sometime, and it's not like I'm short on kits.

Awesome man.  I had things like that before.  Got a 1/35th WWI Whippit tank from Emhar at MosquitoCon for 10$ when I opened it, it had a full set of AM tracks.

Bought a 1/48th M10 at a flea market, it was started so I got it for 5$, inside was a full needle file set, two tubes of glue, set of knives, razor blades, putty, all kinds of tools.

Seller was "Mr.good_find" or "Mike S. something". All parts are present in sealed bags 'cept the main fuselage. As far as a build that's set for next year maybe.Embarrassed Right now I got a 1/32 Revell P-47 total reworked and a Falcon 1/48 Bf109B vacform and a Revell Bf109G going on my bench. and a bunch more to keep me busy. That is 'til my eyes start going bad and I "need" to switch totally over to 1/32.

Looks like a great deal.Yes Have you checked the kit to see if all the parts are there? Clear parts and decals? Hope that they are all there. Post some photos of the build. We'd all like to see that.

I normally don't get too excited and post 'bout much. But, WOW I just recieved an amazing buy off eBay.
So I just have to tell somebody (the wife just doesn't get it).
I won a 1/32 Tamiya F-14 second release for $67.25 plus $15 S&H. That's an OK price and I've wanted one for awhile. It came with sets of PE cockpit details, dial faces, placards and other such sundry for probably, atleast, 3 aircraft, great. It also came with mini drill set and 2 sets of metal pins & sockets to articulate a swing joint like the flaps or canopy hinges. This all very cool very cool. More over it came with plans to articulate retaction of the landing gear and lighting schematics to light up the cockpit and landing lights.

BUT here is the kicker. It also came with both Waldron's punch and die sets. Yes the the standard and sub in mint unused condition. The last time I could find the original sets they were going for around $90 to $100plus per set. Again WOW.
It could only have been better if it had the Hex set also.
