EDUARD P.E.
HMMM, Where do I start? Well, the EDUARD P.E. I just bought for the TAMIYA -U.S.S. NEW JERSEY will do.This bunch of fine p.e. is the best I, ve seen since I got their set for the U.S.S. NORTH CAROLINA ! These guys have definitely got their hats on straight . I can, once I acquire a good pre-VIET-NAM Tamiya Battleship - IOWA class in 1/350 build my model in this scale of the U.S.S. WISCONSIN ! I recently worked on the 1/96 model for BaD Shipmodels. and that,s the ship I want reflected in my 1/350 collection. The "JERSEY" has nothing wrong with her except the weird way they removed some of her planking on her last modernization (It looks like someone stripped the wood in a weird pattern and then left it off.) This makes for a strange looking afterdeck ! The " WHISKEY " on the other hand has ALL the wood right to the edge of the helo area and alongside the third sixteen inch turret . In other words it looks normal. Eduard left nothing out AND they got it right , to boot . The ladders are all there and so,s all the other stuff like helo nets etc. I only wish they had included the masts for the ship on the frets too . I guess that,s okay as I,ll make my own out of brass wire ! There . don,t miss this set as it will allow you to do the IOWAS correctly.(I don,t know about the MISSOURI) the other three though , right on . tankerbuilder P.S. there are three frets of parts in the package !
