Model Expo does carry some "museum quality" aircaft kits, but I don't remember the name of the publication you're looking for... I know what one you're talking about though the name escapes me too...

When I was a kid back in the 80's I used to get this magazine/catalog called ?scale modeler? or something along those lines. There were a few articles but mainly it was a huge catalog of all kinds of models. The kits that I would drool over were these huge metal almost museum quality kits that cost a fortune, but were super detailed and bolted together rather than glued. They had metal parts springs bolts nuts screws rubber and even leather.

No the information I am looking for is the name of this catalog and if it still is in existence. I am also looking for information on getting the kits I mentioned.
