Whadaya Do while the glue/paint dries?

Just curious, you will be in this position often enough, what do you do when you must pause the work, because the model can't progress till some glue up or some paint work dries?

Me, I have my desktop nearby (this is the laptop btw), it functions as a TV sort of. I tend to watch a lot of video content (for health reasons I can't sit at the table long anyway). I like science history features and well just about anything is possible I guess. I will have something on in the background and it permits me to just get up and sit in the lazyboy and watch the show for a bit while the legs stretch out and the glue/paint dries.

The posts on confusing Dragon instructions seem to indicate that deciphering kit instructions would be the next step.

However, i don't own a Dragon kit, so I either set the kit aside and start another or break for one of my other projects.

I’m kidding. It’s the other way around, I’ve been ‘off’ modeling for about two weeks due to that persistent distraction, ‘life’ (plus some extremely annoying allergies). AND IT’S BUGGING ME! I need to put some brass tube-artillery on a half-track…

I try to find someone to hold my hand while I attempt to translate the instructions to my latest Dragon kit.

From what I've seen, you don't need anyone to hold your hand.

I dont have anyone to hold my hand so I'm sticking to diecast. But if say i was allowed to model and i needed to take some time my system is right next to my workbench so at the moment i've been having a round or two of world of tanks but normally I'd check mail, check forums etc .

ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!  With respect, of course.

I nominate the lovely young Ms. Beckinsale for Official Pin-up of the $229 MOJO's.

Can't take me anywhere.

Meaninglessness (?) is in the mind of the beholder.  The MOJO's embrace the diversity of meaningless comments.

Sigh, when you hang out with boys, you inevitably get stuck looking at young girls pictures.

Where are the ladies on this forum I was told about, and when can I expect to see some equal time.

Oh just some input from him, he ponders why anyone would be distracted by someone young enough to be our daughter. 2x 20s does not equal a 40. Not my fault you picked the wrong 40 eh snicker.

Rapidly running out of old kits that have been lurking on my shelves. Today it is this Tamiya M-16 that has been hanging on at the 80% done mark since well too long ago (forgot when I bought it).

I'm eventually going to have to do all my 48th scale tracks on I don't even want to think of it how many tanks.

Do another kit sitting around, or post silly pictures on here. Embarrassed

Unless I'm working on the final paint job, I move onto the next thing that needs to be detail painted before adding it to the build in progress.  Same goes for the glue drying..   I just move onto the next step unless it is the final one.

When it's all the final step, I just let the paint or glue dry 24 hours before resuming work on that project.  I have enough things under construction that I never really have a dead time in the overall process.

Just move on to the next sub-assembly,if it is the end of the project, then I just wait till it dries and then resume.I hate having more then one build going at once.

Seriously?  I move on to another sub-assembly.  I always start with the turret first (just a habit) then move to the upper hull assembly, then to the suspension, etc.
