Hmmm, the one right across the street from me has just started carrying Accurate Mineatures and lots more Tamiya and Hasegawa stuff. They really expanded their selection just in time for this. I may just have to break down and head over there, though I don't really need to.

My wife has advised me that I no longer have the room to put any more models. I told her that the only time I buy them is when they are on sale and that I can always put some completed ones up till I got my workshop done. I think she may have bought it so now I got tot ry and get down there.

Her complaint was the built ones. They are all sitting on top of the computer desk and theres no more room , but she of coarse dod throw in the normal but you have how many sitting on the shelf not built! Looks like it will just be one of those easier to ask for forgiveness than permision deals!

Thanks for the tip, kullgan. Bow [bow] With 3 Hobby Lobbys to choose from here in Tulsa/Broken Arrow, I'm not sure where to start. Again, thank you. I rarely buy from there but from now on I'll try and keep my eye open for their coupons.

My Hobbylobby is 2 hrs away and we have a severe snowstorm/ice storm that will last all week. Ah, what the hay, no snow storm will stop me! I 'm just printed my coupon and off I'll be after work. (I got the Banner Arizona at the last sale, and I just called, and they have the Tamiya Bismark WHAAAHAAHAAHAA!)

MA- The Cumming one is the closest to me and they normally have a decent selection of Tamiya and some of the new Hobby Fan kits. They are pertty much where I get most of my armor from anymore, mainly cause i stock up with the sales. Every now and then they take a little while to stock back up though.

I just went to Hobby Lobby today and got a Monogram PBY-5A Catalina in 1/48 scale. I am pretty excited about it. The only problem with my local Hobby Lobby (in Fairview Heights, IL) is compared to when i first started going there they never have a good selection anymore. I am continually disappointed by the fact that they never restock or put out new stuff. But I guess I am lucky that I have one near me. Big Smile [:D]

thanks

That seems to be the common problem with most Hobby Lobbys, I guess. Them not having a very big selection any more. I grew up with a Hobby Lobby on the corner of the neighborhood I grew up in so I was there quite a bit growing up, and back then they had quite a plastic model selection. They also had a large model train section, and a nice model rocket section too. It seems that they started scaling back these sections when other crafts started becomng more popular in the early 90's. Kind of sad, but at least we have a few other hobby stores here that I can go to. I usually go the others because of Hobby Lobby's lack of selection.

Thanks to kullgan's tip I got an Accurate Miniatures SBD-5 for about $15.00. I had what few bigger and more high end models they had in stock and I went to the other 2 here and only saw the SBD at one. Glad I grabbed it. I'm tempted to print out a couple more coupons and hit the other two Hobby Lobbys but I already have enough to do on my to do pile/list.
