One of the joys of cleaning out and packing up a room is the crap you come across. Finally getting rid of my old yearbooks. Except for senior year. Getting rid of that binder of pictures of trees from a family vacation to somewhere with lots of trees. You know...
Anyway, at the back of this very ratty photo album, I noticed two pages stuck together. Weird because I'd already scoured it for any pics worth saving. Well, I pried the pages apart and found some photos I thought were long lost! Sadly, I don't know the exact year...but probably 1990 or 91 or so. Clearly before I got an airbrush and started paying more attention to quality.
The first is a Monogram B-52D and a something-or-other 1/144 B-52H. Early attempt at forced perspective, I guess. Maybe it would've worked, if I'd gotten lower! Also, I'm not 100% sure, but I think that's a piece of duct tape along the port wing root.
Next up is my fondly-remembered Tamiya M4A3 Sherman and a poorly-painted General Patton. Clearly still learning how to work effectively with depth of field here, LOL! I have memories of that Sherman being pretty well done, but looking now, I think there's a heavy degree of sentimentality at work in that memory!
And yes...more tape holding things precariously together. What was I thinking? Oh well, I can't confirm, but it looks like I installed two different lights and light guards on the tank's left side...
I know a lot of us probably have some very similar "masterpieces" in our past, so hopefully someone will get a kick out of these!
