Polly Scale Discontinued???
Posted by Bigb123 on Thursday, July 7, 2011 3:06 PM

Just heard a rumor today that Testors was going to discontinue the Polly Scale line.  Can anybody shed some light and details on this?

I hate to hear that myself as I like them pretty well.  And, I'd really hate to see the classic Floquil Railroad Lacquers go if they're a part of the rumor, too.

Thanks all!!

Last I heard that was the case. My LHS has all thier line on sale and I am snaching it up everytime I go in there.

Go to “Painting and airbrushing” — title: “Really Terrible News”.

Not a rumor they are going away and have been for many months now. So go and stock up on what you need. Most of the basic colors are already gone in these parts.

Our LHS has replaced it with Life Color.  All the Poly Scale is in a bin for 50 cents a bottle.

And life goes on.

At 4 bucks per bottle I`m surprised it didn`t go away sooner.

Sad. Trying to find Tamiya paints and now Polly Scale. I guess I could learn to paint tanks with Tempra paint. Ahhhhh!

They're not really gone.. From what I understand, Testor's bought 'em out and is just gonna roll 'em up into their acrylic line...

I prefer enamels anyway... Been on a buying frenzy with Model Master lately, because I'm more afraid that those will go away...
