Nah.  Not into motorcycles and what little I've seen of their show I doesn't make me too impressed with them personally either.

If you're a fan of American Chopper their place is also just off I-87 (the NYS Thruway). I've never been there and likely won't in the future but it's something to maybe add to the list.

Looking at the map, West Point is just a little way off of I-87, the road we'll take to get there and back.  Maybe I can convince her to make a stop on the way.

Thanks.

Anyone else have any suggestions?

You're not far from West Point but the Aerodrome is amazing. Enjoy upstate New York.

So, in October the wife and I are going up to New York for a weekend.  She wants to go to the Sheep and Wool festival in Rhinebeck NY. Not for the sheep, but for the wool, it is a knitters paradise of some sort.

We're staying just outside of Poughkeepsie, and I'm trying to find some things to do so that I don't have to spend the entire weekend with a glassy stare and the smell of sheep.

I already found out about the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome, which has their last air show of the season that same weekend.  Maybe I'll take a bi-plane ride.

So,does anyone know of any nice hobby shops in the area? Or other activities of a model/military theme?

Thanks in advance,

Paul
